Danielle Hewitt

About the speaker

Danielle has worked within the music industry since 2006, beginning her career as a Freelance Music Events Assistant. As a volunteer coordinator at the Young Promoters Network, Danielle supported young people in developing their skills within the creative industries and aiding in the development and implementation of live events in the South Wales valleys, working with the likes of The Blackout, Attack! Attack! Kids in Glass Houses, Merthyr Rocks Festival and The Big Music Project. Danielle is now a lecturer of Entrepreneurship, Digital Marketing and Events Management. In 2016, Danielle Co-Founded the social enterprise W.O.M.E.N, (Women of Music and Events Network), which provides support to cis and trans women, and non-binary people, who are beginning their careers in the music industry, by providing opportunities of mentorship, networking and skill development.

Danielle’s talk is about underpinning and developing the entrepreneurial skills of young people with an emphasis on cross-course collaboration.
