About the speaker
Matt Callanan is a former worldwide DJ and musician, filmmaker, and founder of kindness project, We Make Good Happen. He was inspired to create WMGH after meeting his hero Bill Murray while filming at the home of George Clooney.
He is passionate about something stronger than “likes” to bring people together to do good for others – which landed him on The Independent’s Happy List “50 inspirational heroes whose kindness, courage and selflessness make our country a better place to live.” The Sunday Times’ Alternative Rich List also featured him for “His mission to spread happiness.”
His #Tenner4Good idea went viral when he hid envelopes of £10 around the UK and encouraged finders to do good with it. The idea trended on Twitter, was on the front page of BBC News and he was featured in a BBC Amazing Humans documentary which has had over 3 million views.
He is the director of We Make Film Happen a video production company in Cardiff and is a podcaster with his podcast We Make Success Happen.
