Mark Elias

About the speaker

Mark is an IT Manager based in Swansea. When he’s not IT’ing he’s writing verse (although he often combines the two, just to annoy his colleagues). From Twitter-friendly aphorisms to lengthy, tedious explorations of all manner of subjects from Jeffrey Dahmer to the evils of puppy-breeding, Mark truly believes in the power of writing poetry as a catalyst for growth (yikes, did I just say that). He has two dogs, two kids and a wife. Mark’s talk will explain why leadership isn’t management. Being an inspiring leader often happens way before management does anyway; a person just ‘has it’, although they may not know it, or believe in themselves enough to go get it. Mark’s talk will promote writing poetry as a means of both awakening and cultivating the leader in you, so that you can go get it.
