About Lisa Whittaker

Dr Lisa Whittaker moved to Cardiff from Scotland 3 years ago. Lisa is Research Engagement Officer at Tenovus Cancer Care and Mum to 17–month-old twin boys. Lisa recently started a blog ‘Middle Woman’ about public engagement with research. In the little spare time she has, she likes to run, learn Welsh and drink wine (but not all at the same time).

Lisa will be talking about 2 things that happened to her last year – giving birth to beautiful twin boys and 5 weeks later being diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
